Week 5, the day after yesterday
(okay, okay, it's Thursday the 9th)Finished up the random number seed 149 yesterday, as well as worked on the Drosophila data. Forgot to finish work on the image, so I'll do that first thing today. Got distracted by working on my gene palindrome detector, which is pretty functional, with the slight problem of not being able to detect a gene that's a palindrome (that is, the whole string is a genetic palindrome) if the gene is odd. Little bit harder to fix than the other case, but I'll get it done today.
The data for random number seed 102 isn't being loaded into gCluto, and it just gives me an error that doesn't say anything useful, so I'll have to investigate that. Until then, it's mostly focusing on the Drosophila data, which has the problem of only about every third time I run the driver producing a random number seed that works. There's something that causes the classification algorithm to get caught up into an infinite loop, at which point it shuts down, but I'm not sure what causes it, or where the infinite loop is happening (besides tree creation, I know that much).
So, yeah, yesterday was a little frustrating.
