Web Contest
Judging Rules

  1. Judging will be by members of the CCSC:SE regional board, the conference committee and any others appointed by the web contest director(s). Judges from industry will be included when possible.
  2. Judging will start on October 15 and will be completed by October 31.
  3. All decisions of the judges are final.

Judging Criteria

  • Visual Design/Architecture (30%)
    1. Consistency of page layouts (i.e., "look and feel")
    2. Web site organization
    3. Ease of navigation and working links
    4. Aesthetic appeal (Creativity, use of colors, font size, etc.)
  • Technical Merit (30%)
    1. Reasonable load time
    2. Appropriate/creative use of audio, images, or video
    3. Use of advanced HTML features
    4. Use of current or emerging web technologies (DHTML, CSS, CGI scripts, JavaScript, Java Applets, Java Servlets, JSP, ASP, PHP, database access, XML, etc.)
  • Content (40%)
    1. Meets the objectives of the theme
    2. No copyright or trademark infractions
    3. Correct spelling/grammar
