| January 8-February 2 | Service Learning at CIT - We will be assisting Jamaican students enrolled in a 9 month certificate program with lab, mentoring, and instructional activities every afternoon during this time period. Every Furman participant will be assigned as a group leader for a group of 5-6 Jamaican students. As a leader, the Furman students will assist their group during structured lab time, run study sessions, and help identify a Jamaican student to become a leader of the group during the remainder of the certificate program. In addition, each group will do a web research project on a specific topic related to globalization. Results will be presented in a group website. | |
